This is the first step in the process of adopting a Ragdoll or Cherubim kitten from AquaMarine Kittens. Start by reviewing the Sales Contract, then fill out the Adoption Application. Approval may take up to 1 day.

Show Up on Reservation Day

Once approved, you will be marked as pre-approved and receive a private email announcing the official reservation date — sent exclusively to approved applicants. Reservations open when kittens are around 5 weeks old.

On reservation day, go to your chosen kitten's page and place your deposit directly through our website. Ragdoll kittens and Cherubim kittens go fast — reservations are first come, first served, secured by who places their deposit first. Once payment is received, your kitten will be officially marked as reserved and you will receive the sales contract to sign.

Ragdoll and Cherubim kittens go home around 12 weeks old, fully health-checked, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and ready for their forever family. After reservation you will receive regular updates — photos, videos, and milestone moments all the way to go-home day.

Ragdoll kittens and Cherubim kittens go fast — make sure your application is in early!

Do you keep a waitlist? Do you allow in-person visits?

We do not keep a waitlist — this allows families to see each kitten's look and personality before committing. We also do not allow in-home visits for the health and safety of our cats, but we keep all families updated with regular photos, videos, and FaceTime calls.

At what age do kittens go home, and do you deliver outside Virginia?

Kittens go home around 12 weeks old, fully vaccinated, health-checked, and spayed or neutered. We work with trusted pet nannies and transport services to deliver kittens safely across the U.S.

Every breeding cat is tested for 50+ genetic conditions including HCM and PKD, FeLV and FIV, blood type, and genetic diversity. Kittens come with a 3-year genetic health guarantee, TICA papers, vet exam, vaccines, microchip, and are spayed or neutered before going home.

What do your kittens eat, and are they socialized?

We feed a raw diet as the foundation for all our cats and kittens, and can transition to dry food before going home if preferred. Our kittens are raised cage-free in our family home with daily handling, children, and play — ensuring they are confident and affectionate companions from day one.

About the Breeds

What is a Ragdoll cat, and how big do they get?

The Ragdoll is a large, semi-longhaired cat known for going limp when held — earning them the name "ragdoll." They are one of the gentlest, most family-friendly breeds available, often called puppy cats for how closely they follow their people. Males typically reach 15–20 lbs and females 10–15 lbs, reaching full size around 4 years old.

What is a Cherubim cat, and how is it different from a Ragdoll?

A Cherubim is a Mink, Sepia, or Solid Ragdoll officially recognized by TICA on May 1, 2025. They share the same size, structure, and beloved temperament as a Ragdoll — the difference is color genetics. Cherubim cats have richer, more uniform coat color and stunning aqua or gold-green eyes rather than traditional blue. Mink kittens are also born with their color already visible, unlike traditional Ragdolls.

What colors do you breed at AquaMarine Kittens?

We produce Seal and Blue in both traditional Ragdolls and Mink Cherubims, primarily in Mitted and Bicolor patterns.
